A Look Back ­-- the 2009 Coyote Women’s Soccer Season
VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota women’s soccer team concluded its 2009 season at the Great West Championships Friday with a 2-0 loss to Howard in the quarterfinals. The Coyotes played a tough nonconference schedule in 2009, which was their second in their transition to NCAA Division I status. Aside from first-year program Missouri-Kansas City, the combined record of USD’s nonconference foes was 64-51-18 (.553). The Coyotes played strong major conference programs such as Minnesota and Nebraska, plus a strong Creighton club of the Missouri Valley Conference.
