Women's Golf Team Finishes Fifth At Nebraska-Kearney Invitational

Laura Halvorson finishes six shots back of leader with two-day total of 168.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Led by the performance of Laura Halvorson, The University of South Dakota finished fifth at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Invitational on April 23-24 at the Meadowlark/Kearney Country Club in Kearney, Neb.

Halvorson shot a two round total of 168 (85-83) which was just six shots out of the lead. As a team the Coyotes shot a 759 (390-369). The medallist was Jenny Deines of Nebraska-Kearney, who had a 162 (85-77). Nebraska Kearney won the team title with a 677 (349-328) at the eight-team invitational.

Other Coyote individual results include Nora Remily, 191 (98-93), 26th, Stephanie Hawley, 196 (106-90), 30th, and Lacey Weber, 204 (101-103).
