Women's Golf Team In Fifth After First Day At UNO Invitational

Lacy Weber shoots 88 to pace Coyotes at two-day tournament.

GOTHENBURG, Neb. - The University of South Dakota women's golf team is in fifth place after the first day of competition on Friday at the UNO Invitational held in Gothenburg, Neb.

Team totals include Nebraska-Kearney, 321; Northern Colorado, 329; Nebraska-Omaha, 346; Chadron State, 354; South Dakota, 365; Southwest State, 373; South Dakota State (not available), Nebraska Wesleyan (not available).

Individually, Lacy Weber led South Dakota with an 88 while Steph Hawley had an 89. Nora Remily and Laura Halverson posted scores of 94 while Erin Weber had a 110.

The invitational is played at the Gothenburg Golf Club. It is a par-72, links style course and regarded one of the finest in Nebraska, carved out of the native sand hills terrain.
