South Dakota Women’s Basketball Adds Junior College Standout Harrington
VERMILLION, S.D. - South Dakota women’s basketball coach Ryun Williams has announced that Polly Harrington of Kansas City, Mo., has signed a letter of intent to continue her career with the Coyotes. Harrington, who is transferring from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan., will have two years of eligibility remaining at South Dakota.

Coyote Women Conclude Best Division I Season With 2nd Straight Postseason Berth
VERMILLION, S.D. - The South Dakota women’s basketball team capped off its most successful season since moving to Division I with a trip to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament which was the Coyotes’ second straight postseason berth. The Coyotes beat Drake, 61-53 in the opening round of the WNIT to record a postseason victory for the second straight year, before seeing their season end at home against Colorado in the second round. The WNIT trip followed a trip -- and win -- in the Women’s Basketball Invitational tournament in 2011.

Coyote Women’s Rally Falls Short Against Colorado, 64-55
VERMILLION, S.D. - The South Dakota women’s basketball team cut a 16-point deficit to five in the final minute but the Coyotes’ rally fell short in a 64-55 loss to Pac 12 foe Colorado in the second round of the Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament (WNIT) Monday night in Vermillion, S.D. The Coyotes ended their season – their best since moving to Division I – with a 23-8 mark, while Colorado improved to 20-13.

Coyote Women Entertain Colorado in WNIT 2nd-Round Contest

The South Dakota women’s basketball team will host its second consecutive postseason game on Monday when the Coyotes entertain Pac 12 foe Colorado in the second round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT).
The Coyotes beat Drake, 61-53 in the opening round of the tournament on March 15, while Colorado topped Northern Colorado, 54-42 in the first round on March 14.
The game marks the first time that South Dakota will entertain a school from a BCS conference since making the move to Division I. The winner of the game will face Villanova, with the date, site and time to be determined.
