Holly Andrews
Volunteer Assistant - Hurdles
Nebraska Wesleyan, 2008
Holly Andrews enters her second season of serving as a volunteer assistant track and field coach at The University of South Dakota. She works mainly with the female hurdlers.
In her first season with the program, she helped the Coyote women win the Great West Conference indoor meet and place second at the outdoor meet.
A 2008 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan, Andrews was a three-time All-American while competing for the Prairie Wolves. As a senior she placed third in the 55-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, while finishing the same in the 100-meter hurdles at the outdoor championships. She was eighth in the 100-meter hurdles as a junior at the outdoor championships. She holds numerous school records at NWU.
In the classroom, she graduated with a 3.99 grade-point average, while being named a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American. She was also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team three times. Andrews was a finalist for the 2008 NCAA Woman of the Year.
A native of Seward, Neb., Andrews earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science and is currently pursuing her master's degree in occupational therapy at South Dakota.
