USD Divers Fare Well at St. Cloud State Invite

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- The University of South Dakota women’s and men’s divers had good performances at the two-day St. Cloud State Invitational, which concluded Saturday in St. Cloud, Minn.

Janine James (So., Cheyenne, Wyo.) led USD in Saturday’s action, placing second in the women’s 3-meter diving with a score of 387.70. Jessica Jackson (Fr. Waukesha, Wis.) was fourth in the 3-meter diving at 383.4, while Hannah Roetzel (Jr., Newcastle, Wyo.) was fifth at 383.15.

In the men’s 1-meter diving, Chris Hause (So., Overland Park, Kan.) was sixth at 365.50.

In action from Friday’s opening day, USD had three divers place in the top five.

Jackson was second in the women’s 1-meter diving with a score of 371.05, while James was fourth at 360.10. Roetzel was just outside the top five in sixth (350.10).

Hause was third in the men’s 3-meter diving, posting a score of 412.35.

Eight teams competed in the event.
