Softball Team Suffers 2-0 Loss To Shippensburg

Coyotes drop first game of season; manage only four hits.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Lindsey Williams threw a four-hit shutout to lead Shippensburg (Pa.) to a 2-0 win over South Dakota (3-1), at the Rebel Games in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday afternoon. For South Dakota, Tiffany Hill (Sioux Falls, S.D.) started and suffered the loss. She worked three innings, allowing two runs, one earned run, five hits, and she had one strikeout. Alswager also pitched for the Coyotes, recording three innings of two-hit, shutout relief pitching. The only offensive highlights for the Coyotes came off the bat of Tiffany Hopkins (Cannon Falls, Minn.), who had a triple and a double in three trips to the plate.
