Hall Signs With USD Softball Team

VERMILLION, S.D. –- University of South Dakota softball coach Amy Klyse has announced the signing of Stephanie Hall of Torrance, Calif., for the 2011 season.
Hall is an infielder who has spent the past two seasons at El Camino College in California and will have two years of eligibility remaining at USD.
“We’re excited to have Stephanie join us,” Klyse said. “With her talent and previous collegiate experience she’ll have an immediate impact on our program.”
Hall hit .282 in 2010 and struck out only five times in 84 at-bats for El Camino in 2010, where she was named the team's MVP. She finished with a homer and 11 RBI to go with four doubles and two triples. She had a .333 on-base percentage and also led her team with nine stolen bases. Hall also led the team in runs scored with 18 and sacrifice hits with seven.
From the shortstop position, Hall led El Camino with 82 assists and had a solid .981 fielding percentage.
In 2009, Hall was second team all-conference as a utility player after hitting .281 with a .344 slugging percentage.
At West Torrance High School, Hall was co-captain of the softball and soccer teams and was all-league in both sports. She participated in Senior All-Star games in softball and soccer and earned a total of six varsity letters. She was second-team all-conference as a senior in softball.
Hall joins Paige Policky of Lincoln, Neb., Katelyn Wudel of Elmhurst, Ill., and Christine Broders of Yankton, S.D., as Coyote recruits for 2010-11.
