Four Coyotes Named to the NCC Commissioner’s Academic Softball Honor Roll
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The North Central Conference has announced that four players from The University of South Dakota softball team have been named to the NCC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll consists of 36 student-athletes that must have a minimum 3.20 grade point average, have completed at least two semesters at their current school and have competed against outside competition.

Coyotes 1-1 After First Day of Play at NCC Tournament
DULUTH, Minn. -- The University of South Dakota went 1-1 in the first day of the NCC Softball Tournament. The No. 3 seeded Coyotes started the day with a 6-4 victory over St. Cloud State University before falling to the University of Nebraska-Omaha 4-3 in extra innings. USD must now win every game tomorrow to avoid elimination and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Three Coyotes Named to All-NCC Squad; Klyse Named NCC Co-Coach of the Year
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The North Central Conference has announced the 2008 All-NCC softball team and postseason awards. Amy Klyse, interim head coach of The University of South Dakota, has been named NCC Co-Coach of the Year while Brittany Donohue, Tagney Jones and Abby Poulter have been selected to the All-NCC team.

NCC Softball Tournament Rescheduled Due to Weather Predictions
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The North Central Conference (NCC) has announced today that it has pushed back the start date of the conference softball tournament, due to poor weather conditions that are being predicted. The tournament, which is being hosted by the University of Minnesota-Duluth and was originally scheduled to begin on Friday, May 2, will now begin on Saturday, May 3 and will run through Sunday.
