Men's Golf Team Finishes Seventh At MSU Spring Invitational

Kent Peterson leads Coyotes with two-day 152, 15 stokes behind medalist.

MANKATO, Minn. - The South Dakota men's golf team finished seventh at the Minnesota State-Mankato Spring Golf Invitational held on April 20-21 at the Shoreland Country Club and the North Links Golf Course in Mankato. Sixteen teams competed at the invitational held on Friday at the Shoreland Country Club and Saturday at the North Links Golf Course.

St. John's won the invitational with a two-day total of 562(273-289), led by Robert Cliff, who was the medallist with a 137 (67-70).

South Dakota shot a two-day total of 622 (307-315). The Coyotes were led by Kent Peterson had had a 152 (74-78) while Jesse Talcott shot a 153 (75-78). Other South Dakota finishers included: Aaron Baedke, 156 (79-77); Scott Beckman, 161 (79-82); and Derrick Brown, 162 (79-83).
