Men's Golf Team Finishes 18th At District Five Invitational

Coyotes shoot two-day total of 655 at first spring competition.

LEAWOOD, Kan. - The University of South Dakota men's golf team shot a two-round total of 655 (338-317) to finish 18th at the NCAA Division II District V Invitational April 10-11 at the Ironhorse Golf Course in Leawood, Kan.

The Coyotes were led by Kyle Kelly, who had a two-day total of 160 (83-77), and Jesse Talcott with a 166 (84-82). Other individual totals for South Dakota golfers included Kent Peterson, 167 (88-79); Scott Beckman, 173 (83-90); and Aaron Baedke, 181 (102-79).

Drury captured the District V title with a two-day total of 595 (306-290) with Texas Western second at 598 (308-290). The individual medallist was Les Ledingham of Texas Wesleyan who had a two-day total of 146 (75-68).
