Hot-Shooting Coyote Men Down SIUE, 91-69
Edwardsville, Ill. – The South Dakota men’s basketball team hit its first 11 shots from the field in the second half to turn a 12-point halftime lead into a 91-69 blowout of SIU Edwardsville on Friday night at the Vadalabene Center. The non-conference victory moved USD to 13-9 on the season and gave the Coyotes their longest winning streak of the season at four games.

South Dakota Travels to SIU Edwardsville
Victorious in six of its last seven contests, the South Dakota men’s basketball team will step out of Great West Conference play to travel to SIU Edwardsville for a 7 p.m. contest on Friday. The Coyotes (12-9, 4-1 GWC) are looking for their fourth consecutive win over the Cougars (3-19), who are 1-0 against USD in the Vadalabene Center.

Gentry Grabs Great West Honors
Vermillion, S.D. – USD senior Roman Gentry has been selected the Great West Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is the first weekly honor for Gentry and he is the fifth Coyote to earn the accolade this season.

Gentry’s Putback Pushes USD Past UTPA, 72-71
Edinburg, Texas – Senior Roman Gentry putback a Kendall Cutler miss with 4.7 seconds left to give the South Dakota men’s basketball team a 72-71 win over Texas-Pan American on Saturday afternoon at UTPA Fieldhouse. The Broncs missed on the following shot attempt to allow the Coyotes to move to 4-1 in the Great West and 12-9 overall.

Gentry, Thomas Propel USD Over Houston Baptist, 92-70
Houston, Texas – Senior Roman Gentry and freshman Jake Thomas both topped the 20-point mark to lead five South Dakota men’s basketball players in double figures, as the Coyotes claimed a 92-70 win over Houston Baptist on Thursday night in Sharp Gymnasium. The win moved USD to 11-9 overall and 3-1 in the Great West and handed the Huskies their first loss in league play at 2-1.
