South Dakota's Logan, Davis and Allison Participate in Pro Day

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Three student-athletes who made a significant impact on South Dakota football - Stefan Logan, Jordan Davis, and Desmond Allison - are working to earn a shot at the National Football League.
Davis and Logan, who were both All-Americans, and Allison were part of the Coyotes' 9-4 squad that reached the second round of the NCAA DII playoffs in fall 2006, and who recently participated in a Pro Day at Brookings, S.D. NFL scouts measure the prospects' speed, agility and strength, among other attributes, during Pro Days which are held at various locations around the country prior to the NFL Draft.
Logan, a senior from Miami, Fla., had an outstanding day. The 5'6, 179 pound running back clocked a 4.35 and 4.40 40-yard dash and also had a vertical jump of 39.5 inches; broad jump of 10'6; a pro agility score of 4.3 and bench pressed 225 pounds 14 times.
Davis, a 5'10, 179 pound senior from San Antonio, Texas, clocked a 4.46 and a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash. He also had a vertical jump of 33.5 inches, a 10 foot broad jump; pro agility score of 4.46 and had 13 repititions of 225 pounds on the bench press.
Allison, a 6'5, 240 ound senior tight end from Tampa, Fla., had a 4.67 clocking in the 40-yard dash. He also had a vertical jump of 33'6 and a 10 foot broad jump.
THe NFL Draft will be held April 28-29 in New York City. After the draft, NFL teams will sign college seniors and draft eligible players to free agent contracts.
