Vermillion, S.D. – Head coach Ed Meierkort has announced The South Dakota football team will host its annual pro day on Monday, March 22 at 11 a.m. in the DakotaDome. Up to half a dozen Coyotes, including quarterback Noah Shepard, are expected to showcase their skills in front of scouts from the National Football League.
USD student-athletes will run through a series of drills during the day to help determine their possible physical ability and football skills at the NFL level, including the 40-yard dash, bench press and other position-specific drills.
The University of South Dakota has been well-represented in professional football leagues as 41 former Coyotes have gone on to play in the NFL or Canadian Football League, including current return specialist Stefan Logan for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
