Former Coyote Matt Chatham to Host Charity Softball Game

Matt Chatham, three-time Super Bowl champion and member of the New York Jets, will be hosting a charity softball game at Lewis & Clark Park on June 21.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- Matt Chatham, former member of The University of South Dakota football team and three-time Super Bowl champion, will be hosting a charity softball game on Saturday, June 21 at Lewis & Clark Park in Sioux City, Iowa. Soft Bowl I, which will also include a live auction and live music, will begin with first pitch at 12:15 p.m.

Chatham, who won three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots and is currently a member of the New York Jets, and his wife Erin are both graduates of USD.

The charity event, which donate all proceeds equally to the athletic department of three Sioux City public high schools, is a family-friendly charity event that will feature a softball game of the pros (7 NFL players and 1 MLB player) versus a team comprised of current Sioux City High School stars (Sioux City North, Sioux City East, and Sioux City West). The Soft Bowl I Guitar Hero Challenge will also be performed in-between innings during the game by representatives from North, East, and West and an autograph session will be held prior to the game starting at 10:30 a.m.

Soft Bowl I is proud to announce its partnership with Sioux City’s Z-98, who will be providing a remote broadcast from Lewis and Clark Park prior to the game. Z-98 will also present the band 3D, live and in concert, on the BBQ deck at Lewis and Clark Park immediately following the game. Admission to the concert is free with your ticket to the game.
