2009 Coyote Golf Tour a 'tremendous success.'

The University of South Dakota athletics department and the Howling Pack would like to thank those who participated in this year’s Coyote Golf Tour presented by Sanford Health. The Dakota Dunes Country Club north of Sioux City, The Golf Club at Red Rock in Rapid City, and Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls were this year’s stops. All three golf outings set attendance records. Coyote fans, coaches and staff enjoyed an afternoon of fun and socializing. A dinner and short program followed each round of golf. USD coaches and staff addressed those in attendance and prizes wereawarded to individuals and teams.

"I would like to personally thank everybody for attending. The tour was a tremendous success and it shows Coyote Nation is strong," said USD Athletic Director Joel Nielsen.

Approximately $10,500 was raised on behalf of the Howling Pack. The total amount given nearly covers a full student-athlete scholarship. As the fundraising arm of the athletics department, the Howling Pack annually provides funding to support 350 USD student-athletes that compete in 17 sports at the NCAA Division I level.

Monday, May 17, 2010 at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, SD
Friday, June 18, 2010 (tentative) at Golf Club at Red Rock in Rapid City, SD
A set date in the month of June is anticipated for the outing in Sioux Falls, SD

USD expects the Coyote Golf Tour next year to grow. Past participants are encouraged to return and new participants are welcome to join in the fun. Registration information will be provided in early 2010.
